I have set myself a brilliant illustration project for this year, something I can really get my teeth into, focusing on local folk tales from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I have plenty of books and some more on the way (oh Amazon marketplace how I love your 1p books!) I've already found some terrific tales in the little bit of research I've done so far - please share any you know! I have been wanting to start using embroidery in my illustrations again so I have stocked up on threads and hoops. For now the project is mainly something to keep me occupied and inspired but hopefully I will be able to display my finished illustrations and I'd love to have them in a book with the tales too. We'll see.
